Our Base Camp series returns with a fresh adventure—this time, we’re heading to Allatoona Pass, a historic trail with roots that run deep into Georgia’s Civil War history. And just like the land that inspired it, this hazy IPA is bold, layered, and full of story.
Base Camp: Allatoona Pass is a 6.0% ABV Hazy IPA bursting with character—featuring massive drops of Citra and Amarillo hops. Expect aromas of grapefruit, lime, ripe stonefruit, and a whisper of lemon rind. It’s citrus-forward and refreshing, with just the right amount of haze to keep you grounded.
We crafted this small batch beer in support of our friends at Visit Woodstock GA, and like every trail worth trekking, it’s only here for a limited time. Find it in draft and 6pks starting July 25th at all Reformation taprooms.
But this beer is more than a flavor journey—it’s a nod to the real Allatoona Pass, a historic Civil War site just north of Atlanta. The trail once witnessed Andrews’ Raid, a daring train heist aboard “The General,” and later became the battleground of one of the fiercest fights after the fall of Atlanta. Today, you can still walk that same ground, with earthworks and trenches still visible along the way.
Whether you’re a beer lover, a history buff, or just someone who loves discovering new paths, Base Camp: Allatoona Pass is your sign to explore.
