Canton Parks

Take a walk, play a game, or grab a fishing pole.

Canton is home to eight parks with a variety of outdoor activities that are conveniently located around the city.

Boling Park, located on Marietta Hwy, offers outdoor enthusiasts 20 acres, with a one-mile gravel walking trail, playground, and fields for baseball, soccer, and lacrosse. Pack a lunch and have a picnic on the tables before challenging friends and family to a game on the tennis, basketball and racquetball courts.

Etowah River Park is another favorite located off Brown Industrial Pkwy, where you can dip a canoe right into the river. If you feel like exploring on foot, take a walk on the ½ mile concrete walking trail that connects to Etowah River Trail and Heritage Park, or walk on the crossing bridge over the river.

Grab a couple fishing poles and head to Hickory Log Creek Reservoir, located near the intersection of Bluffs Pkwy and Fate Conn Road. This reservoir is open to the public year-round, and is stocked with Bream, Crappie, Catfish, Bass and Shad.

If you’re walking around downtown Canton, grab a bite at Queenie’s and enjoy it under the gazebo in the historic Cannon Park. Or swing by Brown Park, which has a playground, an open field dotted with picnic tables, and a Little Free Library, just a few blocks away.

Etowah River Kayaking & Tubing

Float or paddle your way down the Etowah.

The Etowah River offers a way to disconnect from the noise without traveling too far. With a smooth and gentle current, taking a float trip down the river allows you to float or paddle at your leisure.

For avid kayakers, our neighbors at Nomadic Flow Outfitters offers shuttle service without rentals, handling logistics and transportation to the Mt. Tabor Access. Just bring your own gear and explore north Georgia’s beautiful landscapes with friends and family.

If tubing is more your thing, check in with Nomadic Flow for their seasonal trips down the river. Their tube rental packages include the tube, shuttle services, and PFD. Spend summer days with a cooler packed with your favorite (canned) beverages and create new memories out on the water.

End your trip back at our Canton location after shuttle drop off, and make more memories with  a pint and delicious eats from one of the local restaurants at The Mill.
