Top 10 Things To Do While Social Distancing
Social distancing got you down? We feel you. Until we’re all back to work like usual, here are our favorite ways to stay connected, calm, and entertained while following the rules for flattening the curve.
1. Drink good beer (6ft apart of course)
Reformation Brewery’s beer to-go pickup window is open in Woodstock from Noon-8pm, Mon-Sun, & in Smyrna from Noon-7pm, Fri-Sun. Please tip generously to support our on site staff!
2. Read a book
Our Books & Brews club is full of recommended reads, and working on a virtual meetup soon. Stay tuned for more details in the Facebook group.
3. Do yoga at home
Local yoga instructor, Tommasina, is offering zoom classes so you can namastay-in for classes right in your living room.
4. Play Virtual Trivia
LightsUp! Entertainment has a full lineup of at home trivia for you, so tune in to compete and maybe win some cash money while you’re at it!
5. Listen to music
Some of our favorite musicians are heading online to play. Check out Socially Distant Fest for live performances (and maybe hop on to share some love of your own). Replay a spotlight on some of our North Georgia favs. Or stroll through the Dean’s Store Sessions recorded right in our home town.
6. Drink good coffee
Our neighbors at Alma Coffee have the best farm-to-cup roast around. Grab some to-go in Woodstock from our street side service starting at 9am every day, or order online with free shipping right from the source.
7. Get coloring!
Local artist Madison Beaulieu is offering free coloring pages, so break out the crayons and take some time to relax with this simple pleasure from our Woodstock neighbor.
8. Schedule a Zoom *Happy Hour*
Zoom is a free way to connect with friends and share a beer together. If you haven’t tried it yet, now is the perfect time to learn a new skill together!
9. Call someone you love
Pick up the phone and dial someone you love for a check in. Chances are that hearing your voice on the other end will really lift their spirits, and give you good vibes in return.
10. Order out. Eat in!
Queenie’s BBQ is back up for operations with delivery and curbside pickup. Take the night off and order up some of the best pit-to-plate BBQ around! Or check out all the to-go options around town in downtown Woodstock.
