Georgia Beer Day is an annual celebration of “Georgia Craft Beer” and benefits the Georgia Craft Brewers Guild and our member breweries. This year it will be on Saturday, March 4th. Mark your taproom calendar now. 

The GCBG is once again presenting a limited edition, commemorative pint-glass for member breweries to use to support the Guild, drive interest and excitement for Georgia Beer Day! In partnership with GCBG member breweries and Boelter Glassware, $1 from every glass will be donated to the GCBG.

Featuring artist Baily Crawford, the limited edition 2023 pint glass is 16 oz. with theme “Let’s Get Peachy”, highlighting one of Georgia’s most prominent symbols and crops, the Georgia peach, with beer’s core ingredient of hops also included. Learn more >

What is Sorrel?

Sorrel or “sorrel drink” is popular Caribbean beverage and is made of hibiscus flowers and various spices. According to Atlanta chef Briana Riddock, Sorrel is “a prized ingredient in the foodways of the African diaspora, where it lends a red hue to celebratory drinks.” In America, it is used to commemorate Juneteenth; the color is symbolic of the blood shed by enslaved Africans and the collective resiliency of Black people. (Source)

We named it “One Love” not only because of the obvious ties to Jamaica and the Caribbean, but because of beer’s undeniable power to unite communities.

This year Reformation Brewery is raising funds for one of our own, Alex Brown. To know Alex is to love Alex and he’s one of Reformation’s most devoted and caring part-time servers. On Dec. 5th Alex experienced a severe arm fracture which limited his ability to work during the holiday season.
